Cliff House

Cliff House sits half-buried in the slope it occupies, so that from the seaward approach only a single horizontal line interrupts the land. Inside, three pavilions step down with the terrain, each opening to a framed slice of ocean.

The structure is in-situ concrete, left raw, with timber linings indoors to soften the hardness of the shell. Light arrives in sheets — raking in the morning, diffuse at noon, warm and low by evening.
